Shane and STG is top notch. My kitchen is stunningly beautiful and Shane helped with suggestions that made it even better. Alex (plumber) and Rodrigo (tiler) were equally superb! Great communication, great quality work and great experience. Would recommend STG to others and have already done so to friends thinking about redoing their kitchen. Shane did a wonderful job repairing a kitchen which had been damaged by a water leak. Repairs included installing flooring, re-building a damaged cabinet, reinstalling several cabinets, making framing to move one cabinet further out from the wall, adjusting several doors to accommodate the thickness of the new flooring. I really appreciated his attention to detail and his commitment to satisfying his customer. His conscientious focus on customer satisfaction is a shining light.

Wood Stairs and Railings Repair
Shane and his crew worked to tear out and rebuild the wooden stairs to my basement. From his competitive bid to the completion of the work his professionalism and the quality of work done was absolutely first rate. I will gladly use them for my future home improvement projects.

Custom Cabinets - Build
Three stars TL;DR - Great quality cabinetry, poor quality hardware for the cost (drawer glides specifically,) and medium quality customer service overall. I really like Shane as a person, he was very professional at first when I hired him which is why I chose his business. I hired him in November for a project in February & was clear the excess in-advance hire was because my project had to occur within a short timeframe. Shane came back three times for measurements/contract signing/and to re-confirm measurements prior to install day. The week before the install he let me know that 1 of my large pantry cabinets got missed and hadn't been made. Although unfortunate, I understand mistakes happen. On the day of install unfortunately it was realized that the other large pantry cabinet had been made a foot too tall to fit in the kitchen. We then waited 2 weeks exactly and they brought the 2 pantry units and installed them. I had asked that during those two weeks Shane bring by an upgraded drawer slide for me to see & consider because the drawer slides on all my cabinetry were wobbly, barely worked, super flimsy whether loaded or not, and just were not going to last - I could tell. Shane told me that I would have to sign a quote for $815 before he could bring any examples or move further with upgrading my glides for my 9 drawers. I politely declined as I was already frustrated and didn't want to pay somewhere between $500 & $700 in install fee for an issue I felt I was being taken advantage of for. Shane told me that the reason the install fee was so high to replace the glides is because it would take him 4 hours+ and it would be very difficult. Well, 1 broke within the first week (sure enough) and I went to Home Depot to buy a replacement - turns out Home Depot's cheapest option works 20x better, glides smoother, etc than the product he had installed. I will also note that it took me exactly 57 minutes to replace all 9 by myself (I am not a contractor.) Shane was nice enough to give me a cash discount to resolve my complaints which is why I am still happy with the situation overall. I would hesitate to tell other single women to hire him due to the feeling that there were attempts to financially take advantage of me during the project.

"Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the standard drawer slides, unless you decide to do an upgrade. You had respectfully declined at original walk-through due to your smaller budget. We do not use HD drawer slides. Our drawer slides are a higher quality. That is the reason why the potential larger add on expense. Yes we did mess up and miss a cabinet which happened to be a very large microwave cabinet ; you added additional drawers to that we did for free. In exchange for your inconvenience, we gave you a significant cash discount. That was to resolve your frustrations as you mentioned in your long very drawn out review, however; you felt it was still appropriate to go against our agreement and air out your frustrations publicly anyways. I think its important not to leave out how we attempted to make it very right. I say attempted because when we left the project you were happy and we actually sent you the review request thinking you were still happy with the way we handled the closure you would leave us a much better review and not knock us down in ratings. As an extra gesture for any inconvenience We also fabricated all of your kitchen countertops, pro bono, free of charge as well . I know your father definitely appreciated it as he thanked us numerous times for going out of our way to do so. Were sorry you feel taking personal jabs is appropriate, but I think its important to remember that you have a beautiful kitchen. Meanwhile you did not hold up to your end of the deal in your attempt to humiliated and try to embarrass my company and myself. Our contract is a set price. There is absolutely no way for us to take advantage of anyone regardless of race, age or marital status unless you make an obvious add on/change order, pricing never changes. We dont feel its warranted to slander our company because you simply could not afford to pay for the upgraded drawer slides. The drawer slides we used ; that you approved are very common in all home cabinets . As far as your world record install, I congratulate you. Again, our slides are of a much higher quality and take significant time to install properly. With all that said, we do appreciate your business and we appreciate all of our valued customers over the last two decades that have trusted us for their beautiful kitchen remodels. We hope you enjoy your beautiful kitchen for years to come."

This is the best contractor that I have worked with. The bid was accurate with no add on unless there was a discussion and agreement. The trades that did the work were quiet, efficient, timely, and cleaned the area thoroughly each day prior to departure. We were interrupted due to Covid19, but once able to return to work a new schedule was established and kept. Shane (the owner/contractor) checks on the work regularly if he isn't present. His assistant is pleasant, good natured, hard working. My HOA management loved to see him on site as they knew he would follow all building rules and be curteous. The finish product is exactly as discussed and is wonderful. I will be able to enjoy my new kitchen for years to come. This has been a very easy to endure renovation. I would hire STG and Shane any time I need work.

Shane was really excellent at keeping in touch. The job, the remodel of a small bathroom, was done in four consecutive days and, when a small correction was needed, Shane responded immediately and saw to it the problem was fixed promptly, even though he had already been paid in full. This was a pretty substantial high end kitchen remodel, and Shane / STG finished the job on time and under budget, which is virtually unheard of these days! Shane is so awesome to work with, he even answered a late night message from me right away. He has been the easiest contractor to deal with out of all of my home improvement projects. I hired Shane to remodel all 3 bathrooms in my home after "interviewing" several contractors. Shane was very straightforward from the beginning, offered competitive bids (even after I asked him to revise them several times), and promised all three bathrooms would be done within 2 weeks tops, and he delivered. He was always very responsive to our texts and emails and he and his guys always showed up on time and did a fantastic/thorough job cleaning up (that's a big deal to me!). The final project turned out better than I could have imagined and I will absolutely be working with Shane again once by husband gives me the go-ahead to remodel my kitchen!

I hired Shane and his crew a few years ago to remodel my kitchen and two bathrooms. He told me the job would be done in approx. 5 weeks, they finished in just under 4, as well as finishing the few things I decided to add along the way. Everything was completed exactly as I pictured, and I came in under budget as well! The crew was always punctual, when Shane said they'd be there, they were there, and Shane was very accommodating to my schedule as well. A great job Shane! Definite highest recommendations!
