Sonora Desert Pools

Poor communication continues. Installation was delayed multiple times by an issue that could have been easily resolved with a call. An "electrician" installed the pool liner eight 8-weeks after the initial estimate but somehow broke our pool light. The broken pool light was then blamed on an issue with the GFCI outlet even though it worked without problem before they messed with it. Juan offered to have the guy that installed the pool liner fix the GFCI outlet but that would be at an additional cost paid directly to the "electrician". Upon completion, we intended to pay via credit card since it is listed on their sites as an accepted form of payment, but they informed us they do not accept CC payments. After discussing options they eventually agreed but added a percentage fee which adds a substantial amount to such a large purchase. Their concern was due to a potential chargeback. Now we know why. A few weeks after completion, we contacted Juan to inform them the pool coping was/is falling and breaking off into the pool. After multiple assurances that they would address this, they have not sent anyone to review or fix the issue. We have gotten several excuses about how busy they are without action. The pool liner is also not flush with the walls and there are multiple air pockets. Super disappointed.

Sonora Desert Pools literally save our sanity and our pool. We developed a leak in our pool at the end of the season. We called several leak specialists. The first company couldnâ t fit us in for 2 months and the second arrived and was unable to determine where the leak was. Not only were they unable to find the leak, but they also failed to replace the main valve cover, resulting in a clogged line when they asked me to start the pump. We finally decided just to start over with a new liner. This meant that we had to find someone to unclog the pipes and locate the leak, but we had to find someone to replace our old liner. Not to mention, we were already out $1000 with nothing to show for it. Juan answered my call and set up an appointment for a free estimate. Juan met with me and listened to my needs. He explained that Sonora could fix the leak, unclog the pipes, repair the concrete, and replace the liner. He explained the prices and discussed the time frames. Juanâ s Team was friendly and knowledgeable. They know all aspects of pool repair, from the pool pump to resurfacing the decking. Juan is a man of integrity and works with a sense of purpose. My wife and I could not be happier with Sonoraâ s work. We gladly recommend that you give them a call if you have swimming pool needs.

With pandemic it too so long to get the work complete. But I like the final work done.

Ryan came out replumb my above ground pool with PVC pipe and hooked up a heater. He also repaired a small leak. he explained everything that he did and why he did it in great detail. He did a wonderful job! I look forward to calling Ryan for any future needs that I may have.

good deal overall

They made it easy and provided a great service at a reasonable cost. But don't take it from me. I'm selling my house and the pool is the highlight. I had seven showings the first day on the market and two offers the next morning. I'm convinced that the backyard appeal which included the pool had a lot to do with it. I would recommend them all day long!

Screwed up my pool more than it was. Now we have to redo what they messed up.

This review is twofold. Vinyl liner replacement and fiberglass step repair. Last year I needed the vinyl liner for my in ground pool replaced. I submitted a Home Advisor request and 15 minutes later Juan called. He came by that evening took some measurements gave me an estimate that was a little more than what it cost me ten years ago. Two days later he started and three days later it was complete. He explained to me why I had wrinkles on the shallow end and said i won't have that problem this time and I have not. This all leads up to this year, my top step cracked and I searched for someone who did repairs on fiberglass steps and couldn't find anyone. They could replace them for $7500 or more but no one worked on fiberglass steps for in ground vinyl lined pools. Then, I remembered Juan. I called him and he came by gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair, (less than half of the replacement cost). The next day he came by, drained the pool and the next day his guy came by and started work. The job was completed in two days. Juan is great to work with, explained the what and why of both jobs, very professional and knowledgeable. If you've got vinyl lined pool problems Juan, should be your pool guy.

Juan seems to be a good person, wants to really help. I hope he follows through with the project. He removed and replaced the liner in our pool. The sand was too wet from the recent rain and once the new liner was in and we started filled, the floor on the deep end collapsed. Juan has promised to fix the issue once we get two weeks with no rain. Also the wood decking around the pool was not reinstalled correctly. I will update and add to the review once the job is complete. Update he no long willing to do the job and has left me a incomplete pool and being forced to find a new Contractor to finish my pool. I would not recommend this company
