Scott was on time, very thorough, and went over everything with me before he left in order to ensure I understood everything. He is very good at his job and all issues were well documented, photographed, and explained. I highly recommend this business. I will definitely use this business in the future whenever I have need for a home inspection.

The home inspection went very good

Went up into the attic and roof and looked over the entire house to give me a private status report so that I (as a layman) know where everything stands. He's been fantastic and even replied to 8 subsequent emails clarifying how I should go about looking for a roofer and attic ventilation. Super Guy! Highly, highly recommended.

Very well, happy with results. A few safety and electrical problems found and were taken care of by seller after providing information from this inspection. Homewrex worked with us as we needed to reschedule the inspection twice.

since I live out of town, I was worried about hiring an inspector. Scott did such a good job all my worries are gone and I know exactly what will be a priority once we close. I would hire him again and urge everyone I know who is moving in the valley to hire Homewerx.

Scott was great on the phone and he did everything he said he would. He did an exceptional job at a price that was better than everyone else. My realtor was surprised that I found someone at almost half the price his guy quoted. He gave a thorough report and even though the house is past the 1 year mark on the fixes, they agreed to fix almost everything on his report. Excellent work.

This was a new construction house so I was not going to have an inspection done but finally decided to get one done and I'm glad I did. The Homewerx inspector caught a lot of minor discrepancies and a few major ones that I defiantly would have missed. The report was incredibly detailed and came with photographic evidence of the issues that were discovered. Within 24 hours I had the report and they also sent it to the builder who scheduled the necessary re-work before closing. They were very helpful as I had to set the inspection up over the phone from South Carolina getting ready to move to Goodyear. Would definitely use them again and if you think you don't need an inspection because its new construction, think again and pay to get an independent professional to look at the house for you.

We are building a new home. My wife and I have sent many emails to our builder with items of concern. Some of the issues get fixed but we really started to see action after we presented Scott's inspection report. When we arrived at our home for a walk-through the superintendent had the Homewerks report carefully laid out on the counter, highlighted, and was making serious progress to get the issues Scott had identified marked off the list. There were several items Scott identified that only a knowledgable inspector might reveal. We are incredibly happy that we decided to complete an independent inspection and that we chose Homewerks to help us.

The price is pretty reasonable, pretty comparable to what I paid for similar service in Virginia.

Scott did a very thorough job. I would use and recommend his company again.

He found many items that we had paid for that were not installed, eg: We paid for additional insulation but he found we were shorted. He also found cracks in our trusses, and the wrong electric box breakers were installed. They were to big for the wiring used which could have caused a fire. In total, he found 33 items that Fulton Homes had to fix. Once we sent the report to Fulton, they came and corrected all issues including blowing in the appropriate amt of insulation, etc. We would not have known any of these issues if Homewerx hadn't found them. We reviewed Angie's List to find the best home inspection company in the Phoenix metropolitan area based upon the reviews of those who had utilized services over the past few years.  We were impressed with the evaluations of HOMEWERX, and decided to call two months before our home was to close to ensure that we were scheduled at the right time.  As noted in other reviews, Shannon Hubbard personally contacted us after our initial email, and explained the scheduling process, what the inspection encompassed, and how much the visit would cost.  My wife and I were impressed with the depth of this conversation, and the professional manner in which it was done.  We scheduled our inspection, and due to various builder delays, continued to contact Shannon to keep her apprised.  We rescheduled the calendar a numerous times, and sincerely appreciate her flexibility.

HOMEWORK owner Scott Hubbard arrive at our property one day prior to the final builder walkthrough, and upon arrival, reported that the AC system was not yet operational, and also reported that the gas company had not installed the meter/ service yet.  (Both were to have been turned-on prior to the inspector's visit.)  We understood that these systems could not be tested at this time, and my wife and I accompanied Scott as he methodically went about the inspection routine.  This was particularly helpful, since not only did we see work that was done incorrectly, but also work that still needed to be done.  We also noted what was done well, and learned best practices for the new features and equipment found in this new construction house.

Scott did not rush, and provided a very thorough review.  He also is an excellent communicator, and helped us to understand a host of issues that we had little or no experience with in prior homes.  We made personal lists, but Scott sent a thorough report the next morning with color pictures linked to a notation of workmanship deficiencies, equipment deficiencies, and safety concerns.  We were well prepared for our superintendent the next morning before our final walk-through was to begin.

Scott and Shannon run an excellent business.  Both Scott and Shannon are both VETERANS of the armed forces, and are disciplined, thorough, bright, articulate, critical thinkers / problem solvers, organized, good communicators, and  willing to do 
'whatever it takes'.

This is a top notch firm that is excellent in all that it does. Ten over ten for sure.

He was very thorough, and located some major problems with the plumbing system as well as a litany of minor issues -- exactly what you want from an inspector, so that you can know what you are getting into with a new house.  He was professional and punctual, and gave us a clear picture of what to expect.  Being out of state buyers, he let us know what we should be looking for that would be unique to AZ.  Overall, a very positive experience.  We used his coupon here on Angie's List.
