Mr. Sanchez did a thorough analysis of our difficulty with a metal roof exhaust fan, gave me three options, and gave me a recommendation. He completed the work in less than 15 minutes in a fully satisfactory way. Several other contractors were talking about significant changes in our roof and additional equipment. Mr. Sanchez simply repaired the fans in place, and they are working perfectly now. I am so impressed by his work that I shared his information with four of my neighbors and my family members that live nearby. Excellent.

They effectively diagnosed and repaired a chronic roof leak. We just had very strong thunderstorms with intense rain, yet no sign of leakage.

This is a family operation, not some overpriced corporate franchise with fancy vehicles and TV advertising. What Jerry said he would do, he did. When he came out to do the quote, he gave us addresses of several jobs they had done in the area so we could check out their work and talk to the owners. He was knowledgeable about different home construction types and how to handle them for installing a metal roof. Overall I am well pleased with the price and job from Discovery Roofing.

Started out with Jerry explaining the whole process and all my options up front. Crew arrived as scheduled and went right to work, very respectful and kept work area neat. Liked Jerryâ s process of keeping me in the loop each step of the way - great job! Highly recommend!

The crew were all business and went straight to the work. The project did take longer than anticipated due to all of the rain. I value the employer for not setting his crew up on my dangerous steep roof, for the sake of staying on schedule. I would and will recommend them for other jobs.

I was told there would be supervision when doing the job but as it turned out the first day of work the roofers took out old rusty nails and tossed them right into my backyard where I travel frequently to work on the yard and feed my pets. So of course, I got a nail stuck on my foot and had to go to Urgent Care for Tetanus shot and foot ointment. I still have foot pain. Then the newly installed sheets in front of the house bubbled up. Kind of like when you wrap a gift and the scotch tape didn't seal well so there's bubbling effects. After my call the owner came out and said that it was due to my home having foundation problems which was inaccurate, uncalled for and offensive. If that had been the case the entire roof would have looked warped but it's not. Instead of taking ownership of the problem he washed his hands of any blame. He wasn't very happy then I handed him the container full of rusty nails that I had to p/u after they finished the job which contained about (25). His son offered to fix or replace the 1 sheet but it seems there is more that needs fixing and it's not the roof.

Only downside was all the trash we had to pick up afterwards (including cigarette butts). But the workers were great and the "Boss" was very knowledgeable and helpful in our quest.

The crew was easy to work with and did an excellent job.

Weather delayed us a bit, but the crew showed up as re-scheduled and worked hard to give us a great new roof! Very pleased with results, extras, and Jerry's great coordination. Would definitely recommend Discovery Roofing!

After extensive research, we decided on a metal roof. While assessing damages for payout, our insurance company told us future homeowner insurance rates also would be lower with a new metal roof. We asked five different companies for bids. Immediately Discovery Roofing, a family owned and operated concern, with low overhead, gained the advantage because only they, while on site, looked, measured and immediately provided quotes for four different options for both conventional and metal roofs. They showed us examples of all materials to be used, pros and cons for each and listed additional extra charges for re-flashing the chimney, etc. As icing on the cake, they were the only company that sat down with us to explain the entire process, and gave us addresses of three nearby homes they had roofed and said we would also be free to talk with occupants. They said their quote was firm, the total bill payable upon completion with no upfront deposit and the only variable might be a small charge for any damaged wood needing replacement. After receiving all five quotes, some taking more than a week to be provided, Discovery offered the best value, although not the lowest price. The low bidder would not remove the old roof, but would put the new one over it, with no chimney re-flashing. Discovery would also do this, and at a reduced cost, but did not recommend it because they said it voided the manufacturer warranty. Some quotes were outrageously higher than Discovery. We were pleasantly surprised when the quote was only slightly higher than the insurance check for a replacement conventional roof. The job was professionally done and we love the result. They would not accept payment until after Jerry made a personal inspection to insure everything was in order. Thank you Jerry and Discovery Roofing.

Beware of Discover Roofing!! I needed a roof and Jerry (Discovery Roofing) answered my call. After a few bids DR was selected & a contract was signed with a work scope set. He worked me in to his busy schedule & set a date for the install (June 13, 2106). He finished in two days. That's when the problems started. First, during the repair work of a broken support beam, one of his workers either dropped an object or stepped through my office ceiling creating a large crack. He never accepted responsibility or any of his workers for that matter for the damage and the workers were blaming me (Owner). I called him to notify him of the situation and he offered to patch it, but respectfully declined that fix and negotiated a <credit>. Secondly, after a number of rain storms in July I noticed a large bubble of water on my wall above the fireplace. Once again, tried calling Jerry for approx. a MONTH before he answered. Jerry showed up and gave excuses why he was not available, but did tell me that he would repair the leak and fix the interior damage too. He left to get materials and did not come back. A few days later (after more calls) a few workers showed up and applied caulk on the chimney cricket thinking that would fix it. He even squirted water on the whole chimney and declared the fix. I said applying caulk is not the fix. You have to remove the shingles and see where the leak is coming from (he agreed but did nothing). More time passed, more workers showed up for 15 minutes and removed a few shingles, applied tar then left. More rain came and I still had a leak and now it is getting worse (coming down the wall plus now the window). After zero response from Jerry in over a month again, I decided to get a quote from another roofer (local to my area) to fix Discovery Roofing's problem. As it turned out, what the new roofer found when they took up the shingles around the "cricket" was that DR did not install the proper felt/underlayment on the cricket (have pics for proof), did not clean the chimney flashing or install the shingles correctly on the cricket. I have been calling Jerry again, sending text messages (no email address either) but to no surprise he is not answering or calling me back. This process has been going on since 7/15/16. Now I am left with no roof warranty, no way to get my money back, not to mention again he agreed to fix the interior damage & now that is still my responsibility too. This individual and business is in my opinion not reputable and would advise not to contract with them. It is all show up front, then the work starts with the home owner left holding the bag. Jerry & DR should be ashamed of themselves for running such a despicable business. It's businesses like this that give those other good companies a bad name. DON'T CONTRACT WITH DISCOVERY ROOFING !!!!!!! Update: After my review was submitted and posted, I received an email from Discovery Roofing (Jerry) on 10/24/16 & I quote " Saw

Jerry installed my metal roofing and did some shingles and vents as well. He is the only company that showed up (because of the weather) to give me a bid and did not charge me until the job was completed. Any problems, he was prompt to answer to my concerns and addressed the problem professionally. He will bend over backwards for you and I have been recommend this company to others, and everyone is satisfied.
