I believe all of the phony 5-star reviews here and on Yelp are bought and paid for. This is the WORST company to hire for ANYTHING. Burns advertises itself as a lead abatement company. However, Burns Environmental is the MOST CORRUPT, SHADY, DISHONEST business. Burns preys on females ( Despite billing itself as Woman-owned and minority-operated). Burns engages in predatory practices & SNEAKY CONTRACTS WITH HIDDEN CLAUSES. Burns for lead abatement of a small area of our home. Burns did NOT abate the lead. Burns claims there are no guarantees. HOWEVER, WHEN YOU ADVERTISE YOURSELF AS LEAD ABATEMENT, THEN YOU ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO COMPLETELY ABATE THE EFFING LEAD! Burns destroyed our entire home. Ernie G. is an individual with deep-seated anger & rage issues. He sent lazy workers who refused to do the contracted work. Instead, they spent 3 days jack-hammering the tiles, damaging the foundation of our home, exposing the lead completely, then abandoning the job site. Ernie G. then called me to demand I admit they did a great job. When I refused, he yelled & screamed at me, called me a stupid female, and made other sexist insults against me. Follow-Up testing & lab reports revealed higher than initial amounts of lead, not only in that small area BUT ALL OVER THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND EXTERIOR PROPERTY! When I documented everything to Burns, Ernie G. called me again & threatened me with violence. Then he Emailed me to cease & desist communication. Lol! We will see about that. They will now have legal problems before I am done.

Burns Environmental did an amazing job removing our Asbestos popcorn ceilings. They were able to do the entire project in one day and were very thorough in making sure they removed every inch of the house.

We didn't pass inspection on the first try, but I'm still giving them 5 stars because they made a 5 star comeback. They kept their word and absorbed any and all costs caused by the incident. This is a company you can trust.

Do not chose Burns Environmental Services if you care about your home. All I can say is we did NOT have a good experience at all with Burns Environmental Services for our asbestos removal. Be warned that you should read their contract with a fine-toothed comb so that when this happens to you, you aren't as shocked and disappointed by the result as we were. We have a two bedroom condo that needed the acoustic removed from the ceiling due to a low percentage of asbestos prior to our home being remodeled. The project manager set up an appointment to visit our home and make an assessment. Based off the great reviews and local service, we decided to go with Burns. We emptied our ENTIRE home so they could perform the work. During the abatement, duct tape was used to secure the plastic containment instead of painters tape or other non-abrasive tape. We actually visited our home as the worker was removing the containment and was able to see the results in real time. The duct tape removed a large amount of paint; including primer and texture from all of the areas where this tape was used, including newly painted and previously painted rooms. After numerous failed attempts to resolve this with the managers, the operations manager informed us that there is nothing they can do for us. They claim that this is a very common occurrence and they can not be held responsible for any damage done, via they're contract. However I find it hard to believe that this is a common occurrence for a number of reasons: 1. Our condo is not that large and should not require excessive taping to hold up the containment. If this were the case, single family homes that are larger would have this problem consistently and I doubt they would have positive reviews if this happened on a regular basis 2. If this is common, they should communicate this and make it clear during the evaluation that this is a potential outcome, even if it is just a small chance 3. No effort was made to contact us prior to the decision to use duct tape instead of painters tape 4. Their own crew admitted that the wrong tape was used to put up the containment 5. Painters tape was used downstairs to secure the containment and did not damage the paint 6. When the crew came back to remove the fans, the worker also informed our contractor that they used the wrong tape to secure the containment. 7. They insisted that "old/cheap" paint has a tendency to come off, even though we used very high quality paint and applied it just recently. After I told the manager this, he changed his story and said that new paint is more likely to come off and they have no way of predicting what will happen. The only sense of responsibility that I received from them was the operations manager saying "Shame on us for not communicating better"; unfortunately "shame" will not cover over $4000.00 in damage that their service caused. I will continue to fight for the repairs to our home, however it is likely that Burns will not re-mediate

Project was removal of asbestos vinyl, and its glue, in a residence. In the process they damaged wall and ceiling paint [tape used to hold up plastic sheeting peeled paint] and screen doors [numerous rips/holes from being hit with debris being carted out]. Rather than sealing existing asbestos glue with paint, as they proposed, they removed most, but not all, of the subfloor. The next contractor had to complete the removal in order to install a complete new subfloor. This was not cheap.
